Well hey there!

As some of you may know, my journey started on Wednesday evening.

The first flight from Frankfurt to Singapore was twelve hours long, but all of it went as desired and in the blink of an eye I was in Singapore. Ok well don’t take that literally. It actually was kind of a long time to go when all you can do is watch movies, listen to music and eat.

Lastly I arrived in Singapore, where I had four hours to do whatever I want. It´s actually one of the biggest airports in the world, so of course I had to explore it and simultaneously stretch my feet.

I went to the Butterfly Garden and to the food court (so much sushi I felt like I was in heaven).

The connecting flight to Auckland took about nine hours, there were some complications with the weather and I saw lightnings through the window (sounds pretty dramatic, but it really wasn’t) but the plane landed completely safe.

As I walked out of the security check I could already see Davina, my host mother, waiting for me. She was so nice, I felt totally welcome and instantly comfortable.

She drove me around the city of Auckland and told me everything I have to know.

All in all it took me like 27 hours of traveling to get from Germany to NZ. But you know what? 

Its totally worth it!!
